Special Services
From birth to death, our congregation helps us find deeper gratitude, greater connection, and more reverence for life in and around our community. Our custom-made weddings, memorial services and dedications honor the people involved by reflecting their unique personalities and values. Our officients work closely with couples and loved ones to design these very special events in a manner that is most meaningful to the parties involved. We feel honored to be able to share all life events with our community parnters.
Weddings
Weddings at the First Universalist Church of West Chesterfield are created by the couple and for the couple. A wedding at the First Universalist Church may be a good match for you if you would like a faith based wedding, but are looking for something without restrictions.
Many people getting married in our church or by our ministers come from mixed faith backgrounds, want to be wed on days when their religion of origon does not permit, or wish to form their own special service with the wording and structure that is most meaningful to them.
Funeral Services
Services to honor loved ones who have passed on are often very personal occasions. In Unitarian Universalist congregations, these services are developed by the family of the deceased and the presiding minister to specially honor the memory of that individual and celebrate the life that they had lived
We are dedicated to helping family members celebrate and greive at their own pace and in their own way.
Dedications
At the First Universalist Church we offer two kinds of christenings based on your religious or faith based beliefs. As with our weddings, those involved have many options as to how the service is formed. Whether you are interested in a very traditional christening or in a community based welcoming service, our
congregation looks forward to welcoming all life into our community.
